All three College Hockey America weekly award winners are repeat winners as Bemidji State’s Grady Hunt and Luke Erickson, along with Alabama-Huntsville’s Jared Ross were honored for their efforts over the weekend.
Offensive Player of the Week
Jared Ross, Alabama-Huntsville, Junior, Center, Huntsville, Ala.
Ross earned his second offensive player of the week honor this season after scoring five points and registering 12 shots on goal in a two-game series at Holy Cross. He notched three assists and was +4 in a 5-4 loss Saturday before chipping in with a power-play goal and an assist in Sunday’s 4-4 tie, making him the nation’s leader in points per game (1.75) and assists per game
(1.42).

Grady Hunt, Bemidji State, Senior, Goalie, Vernon, British Columbia
Hunt, a two-time CHA defensive player of the week honoree this season, earned his 34th and 35th career wins, moving into a tie for 10th on the school’s all-time wins list, with 3-1 and 5-1 victories over Air Force which moved the Beavers into first place in the CHA standings. After allowing a power-play goal two minutes, 28 seconds into Friday’s game, Hunt shutout the Falcons for the next 93 minutes before allowing a goal 1:06 into the third period Saturday, registering 40 saves on the weekend.

For the third time this season, Erickson earned rookie of the week honors after notching the gamewinning goal in Friday’s win while registering six shots on goal and a +2 rating on the weekend. Erickson’s goal Friday was his eighth of the season and, barely halfway through the season, he is already fifth on the school’s freshman goal-scoring list during its Division I era.
