Offensive Player of the Week
Jason Baclig, Wayne State, Freshman, Forward, Leamington, Ontario
Baclig had a four-point weekend as the Warriors split a two-game series at American International. He figured in the scoring of all three goals in Friday’s 5-3 loss, scoring one and assisting on two others. He then added a goal Saturday in a 3-2 victory, registering six shots on goal for the weekend while compiling a +3 plus/ minus rating.

Allen Barton, Niagara, Freshman, Goalie, Spencerport, N.Y.
After allowing 10 goals on 70 shots in his first three collegiate games, Barton made a pair of relief appearances over the weekend, stopping 20 of 22 shots. He stopped six of seven shots in the final seven minutes of Saturday’s 5-1 loss at Boston University. Sunday, he allowed a goal just 10 seconds into his relief appearance but turned aside the next 14, enabling the Purple Eagles to overcome a five-goal deficit and post a 6-5 win at Massachusetts-Lowell.

Brett McConnachie, Alabama-Huntsville, Freshman, Forward, Ajax, Ontario
McConnachie recorded back-to-back two-goal games as the Chargers split a home series with Bemidji State. His first goal cut BSU’s lead to 2-1 Thursday and his second goal proved to be the game winner in a 7-5 win. He scored two of Alabama-Huntsville’s three goals in Saturday’s 5-3 loss.
