Findlay freshman Will Hooper was honored
by College Hockey America for the second week in a row while
Bemidji State senior forward Wade Chiodo and freshman Luke
Erickson also earned recognition for their play last week.

of the Week
Wade Chiodo, Bemidji State, Senior, Forward, Thief River Falls,
Minn.
With the Beavers wrapping up a four-game road trip,
Chiodo scored three goals and chipped in with an assist as Bemidji
State split its Thanksgiving week series at Connecticut. He scored
two goals Tuesday, the latter giving the Beavers a 3-2 lead,
in a 4-3 loss. Chiodo, who was +4 on the weekend, scored his
first career short-handed goal Friday and later set up Chris
Nathe’s
first career goal helping to lead to a 7-2 victory.

After earning league rookie of the week honors last
week, Hooper was named the CHA defensive player of the week after
posting back-to-back 30-save efforts in losses at No. 5/6 Colorado
College and No. 10 Denver. Hooper has established himself as
the team’s number one netminder, seeing action in each of the team’s last nine
games. His 35 and 31-save performances marked the first time
in his career he has consecutive 30-save games in a weekend
series.

Luke Erickson, Bemidji State, Freshman, Forward, Roseau, Minn.
Erickson’s four points in the Beavers’ series
at Connecticut tied for the team lead, including a three-point
effort in Friday’s 7-2 win. Tuesday, Erickson scored Bemidji
State’s lone power-play
goal in a 4-3 loss. He followed that by helping to spark a
five-goal second-period outburst Friday, scoring a goal and recording
two assists in the period.
His power-play goal started the rally and he assisted on Brendan
Cook’s game-winning goal.
