Emily Montgomery, were honored for their efforts over the weekend
by College Hockey America.
Offensive Player of the Week
Teresa Marchese-Del Monte, Mercyhurst, Junior, Forward, Brampton,
Ontario
After a slow start to the season, Marchese-Del Monte
has shown why league coaches chose her as the preseason CHAW
player of the year. She scored the the game-winning goal in Saturday’s
1-0 overtime win and score the first goal of the game in Sunday’s
5-1 victory. She had 10 shots on goal for the weekend and a plus/minus
rating of +2. Marchese-Del Monte has now scored the first goal
of the game in five of the Lakers’ 10 contests this season.

Player of the Week
Jess Clermont, Niagara, Sophomore, Defense, Sagueen Shores,
Ontario
Clermont helped anchor a solid defensive effort and
chipped in offensively as the Purple Eagles took three of four
points from Findlay over the weekend. She posted a plus/minus
rating of +3 on the weekend and her first assist of the season
came on the game-tying goal in Saturday’s 4-4 tie.

Emily Montgomery, Niagara, Freshman, Forward, Cambridge, Ontario
Fresh off the soccer season, Montgomery stepped into
the Niagara lineup and contributed two key points in the Purple
Eagles’ series with Findlay. In her first collegiate game,
Montgomery set up the game-tying goal in Saturday’s 4-4
tie. Just 24 hours later, her first collegiate goal came at 13:05
of the third period, snapping a 1-1 tie and giving her team a
2-1 victory.
