Bemidji State senior Grady Hunt was named
the College Hockey America defensive player of week for the
second consecutive week while Findlay junior Kris Wiebe and
Niagara freshman Jeremy Hall were also honored for their efforts
over the weekend.

Player of the Week
Kris Wiebe, Findlay, Junior, Right Wing, Lloydminster, Alberta
Wiebe’s first career hat trick enabled Findlay
to overcome a three-goal second-period deficit and pick up its
first CHA win of the season, a 6-5 victory at Wayne State. All
three of Wiebe’s goals came on special teams, scoring
twice on the power-play while also adding a short-handed marker.

Grady Hunt, Bemidji State, Senior, Goalie, Vernon, British
Columbia
After suffering losses in his first two starts of the
season, Hunt has now won three consecutive games after stopping
20 of 21 shots Friday in a 3-1 win over No. 13/14 Minnesota-Duluth.
Friday’s
game marked the 16th time in the last two-plus seasons Hunt has
allowed fewer than two goals. His efforts enabled the Beavers
to post their first win in their Division I era over a ranked
opponent.

of the Week
Jeremy Hall, Niagara, Freshman, Forward, Mays Landing, N.J.
One of Niagara’s most consistent performers through
the first nine games of the season, Hall scored two goals in
Saturday’s
3-2 win over Western Michigan. In the weekend series, he led
the team with three points and seven shots on goal. On the season,
Hall is second on the team with nine points, ranking second in
the CHA with six goals, and has scored points in six of nine
games.
