Foster of Air Force, and Bemidji State senior Grady Hunt earned
College Hockey America player of week honors for their efforts
over the weekend.
Offensive Player of the Week
Spanky Leonard, Air Force, Senior, Forward, Elk River, Minn.
Leonard recorded five points in leading the Falcons
to a pair of 4-3 road wins in non-conference action at Bentley
over the weekend. In Friday’s win, Leonard set up a pair
of goals before recording his first career hat trick in Saturday’s
victory. All three of his goals came on the power play with the
last two coming 45 seconds apart, snapping a 2-2 tie in the game’s
final four minutes.

Defensive Player of the Week
Grady Hunt, Bemidji State, Senior, Goalie, Vernon, British
Columbia
After suffering losses in his first two starts of the
season, Hunt led Bemidji State to a pair of wins in their CHA
opener at Findlay over the weekend. On the weekend, he stopped
54 of 59 shots, including Saturday’s
26-save effort in a 3-1 victory, giving the Beavers four points
on the road.

Rookie
of the Week
Peter Foster, Air Force, Freshman, Goalie, Canton, Mich.
In his first collegiate start, Foster stopped 29 shots
en route to a 4-3 victory at Bentley, giving Air Force its second
consecutive non-conference series sweep.
