Offensive Player of the Week
Shane Saum, Air Force, 5-11, 180, Sr., Forward, Palmer Alaska

Saum led Air Force to a runner-up finish in the Quinnipiac
Cup, earning all-tournament honors in the
process while leading the tournament with three goals. He scored
two goals and was +2 in Friday’s 4-2 victory
over Bentley. His second goal snapped a 2-2 tie and proved
to be the game-winner. His power-play goal Saturday
came with 1:05 to play in the third period and sent the game
into overtime before the Falcons dropped a 4-3
decision to Quinnipiac.

Defensive
Player of the Week
Jon Horrell, Findlay, 5-11, 175, So., Goalie, Beckenham, England

Making his first collegiate start Friday, Horrell stopped 27
shots and led the Oilers to a 4-3 victory at No.
11/12 Michigan State in the Ice Breaker Classic. He followed
that effort by stopping 35 of 38 shots in a 4-1 loss
to No. 2/3 Boston College. On the weekend, he faced 68 shots
from a pair of nationally-ranked teams and
stopped 62, earning a spot on the Ice Breaker Classic’s
all-tournament team.

Andrew Ramsey, Air Force, 5-8, 165, Fr., Center, Noblesville,
Ind. (Culver Academy/H.S.)
Ramsey scored a goal in each of his first two collegiate games
at the Quinnipiac Cup. His first goal
came in Friday’s 4-2 win over Bentley, tying the score
at 2-2. His second goal, a power-play tally, started the
Falcons’ comeback against Quinnipiac as they scored three
goals in seven minutes before falling 4-3 in overtime.
