CHA names Players of the Week

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Findlay defender Chantelle Russell earned CHA Offensive Player of the Week. Russell, from Midland, Michigan, had at least one point in all three games this week. She assisted on Findlay's game winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 win over CHA foe Wayne State. She assisted on the game-winner in Saturday's 3-0 win over Elmira then picked up two assists, including an assist on the game-winner in Sunday's 4-0 win over Elmira. For the week, Russell had four assists and picked up an assist on each of Findlay's game-winning goals during their 3-0 week

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Wayne State goalie Anna VanderMarliere earned CHA Defensive Player of the Week. VanderMarliere, from St. Clair Shores, MI, stopped 54 of 55 shots (.982 save percentage) on the weekend, and 81 of 85 (.953 save percentage) for the week [includes Wednesday game at Findlay]. In Friday's game, she turned aside 22 of SCSU's final 23 shots over 23:56 of action. On Saturday, VanderMarliere stopped all 32 Huskie shots for her fourth shutout of the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mercyhurst forward Samantha Shirley earned CHA Rookie of the Week. Shirley, from Mississauga, Ontario, scored her 14th goal of the season and added an assist in Friday's 3-2 loss to Dartmouth. She had 4 shots and was +2. She finished with six shots in the two games and was a combined +1. Shirley is second on the team in goals and is tied for the team lead in points.
