| OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
University of Findlay forward Heidi Tallqvist earned
CHA Offensive Player of the Week. The Oilers had just five
goals in three games this week, but Tallqvist from Turku,
Finland, had three of them...the sophomore from Turku, Finland
recorded her first hat trick of the season in Findlay's 5-2
victory over Wayne State on Wednesday...she scored a goal
in the first period and two more (including the game-winner)
in the second period...she leads the team with nine goals
and 11 points on the season.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mercyhurst College goaltender, Desirae Clark earned
CHA Defensive Player of the Week. Clark, from Salmo, British
Columbia, hadn't played in nearly a month since a 5-2 loss
at St. Lawrence on October 20. She kept Mercyhurst in Sunday's
game against the #6 Wisconsin Badgers by stopping 37 of 41
shots (.902). Although Clark is 1-2 overall, she has a save
percentage of .911 and a goals-against-average of 2.48.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mercyhurst College forward Samantha Shirley earned
CHA Rookie of the Week. Shirley, from Mississauga, Ontario,
tied the game with a goal against the #6 Badgers in Saturday's
game at 13:54 of the second. She had a goal on four shots
in the two games and was a +1. She is tied for first on the
team in points (8) and tied for third in goals (4).
