Niagara University forward Barret
Ehgoetz earned CHA Offensive Player of the Week honors this
week, while Wayne State University goaltender David Guerrera
garnered CHA Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Niagara
University forward Jason Williamson was named CHA Rookie of
the Week,
marking his first CHA honor. Guerrera earned his
sixth career award, while Ehgoetz is a three-time award winner.
OFFENSIVE
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ehgoetz, a 5-8, 165-pound sophomore from Kincardine, Ontario,
paced the Purple Eagles to a sweep over CHA regular season
champion Alabama-Huntsville last week. Ehgoetz scored two goals
in Friday’s
7-4 victory, and recorded a hat trick plus an assist in Saturday’s
7-5 win. Ehgoetz had five goals and an assist for a six-point
weekend. DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Guerrera, a 5-11, 185-pound senior goaltender from St. Leonard,
Quebec, posted back-to-back victories over Findlay last week,
including a 3-0 shutout Friday when he tallied 35 saves.
He stopped 61-of-64
shot on the weekend and two of the three Oiler
goals came on the power-play. ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Williamson, a 6-2, 215-pound forward from 150 Mile House, British
Columbia, had four assists last weekend, including a helper
on Saturday’s game-winning goal, as Niagara swept Alabama-Huntsville
to lock up the No. 2 seed in this week’s CHA Tournament. Honorable
Mention Performance
Bemidji State University forward Marty Goulet reached 100 career
points after tallying two goals and an assist at Air Force
last week. The BSU goalie tandem of Grady Hunt and Dannie Morgan
teamed up for back-to-back shutouts for the Beavers last week.

of Alabama-Huntsville forward Jared Ross recorded a hat trick
in Friday’s game vs. Niagara, while teammate
Keith Rowe had two goals Saturday. |
